FAQs

What is a core processing system, and why is JFCU updating it?

The core processing system is the computer system that JFCU uses to maintain member accounts and to process transactions.

We’re upgrading our system in order to serve you more efficiently and effectively, with more options to offer new products and services in the future.

What’s changing?

JFCU will have a new online banking platform, a new mobile app, and a new Touch Tone Teller menu.

What’s staying the same?

Your account numbers, debit/credit cards, checks, direct deposit, and any loan due dates will remain unchanged.

What can I do with the new online banking and mobile app?

In addition to accessing accounts anytime and anywhere, you can set up recurring transfers, ACH deposits, and transfers to other members. On the new mobile banking app, you’ll be able to deposit checks and pay bills, see transaction details in your history, and apply for a loan from your phone.

When can I access the new online banking and mobile app?

Members will have access to online banking on the afternoon of December 2, with their re-enrollment.

We expect our new and improved mobile app to be available for use within seven days of our upgrade. The app must be certified by the Apple and Android app stores before it is made available for download.

Please see the above instructions on accessing these platforms for the first time.

Are my funds and personal data secure during the conversion?

Yes, your personal data, account information, and funds will remain safe and secure during this process.

Will I still be able to use my debit card during the upgrade process?

Yes, you will still be able to use your debit and ATM card during the closure, with limits.

How can I prepare for the upgrade?

Make note of the important closure dates and plan ahead. Make any withdrawals for extra cash before the closure. Although your debit and ATM cards will be available, consider using your JFCU credit card or alternative methods for larger purchases during the closure.

Please also note that you may experience longer than normal wait times in the lobby and drive-thrus, as well as longer response times for emails and voicemails. We recommend planning accordingly knowing these times may be longer than usual, and we appreciate your patience.
